The New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services issued an alert this week to Westchester residents regarding the residency of 50-year-old Jerome Michaux, who has moved from Sixth Avenue in Pelham to Amsterdam Place in Mount Vernon.
The Division of Criminal Justice Services has assigned Michaux as a Level 3 threat, which means he is a “high-risk repeat offender and possible threat to public safety.” He has also been designated as a sexually violent sex offender.
According to the Division of Criminal Justice Services, Michaux had sexual contact with his victims in July 2012 and he was convicted of course of sexual conduct against a child in February 2014. Michaux was sentenced to a term of five years in prison and remains under the jurisdiction of the Westchester County Department of Public Safety.
